Neckvember is Here – Banish the Turkey Neck with an Ultherapy Special!

Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away and while you might be thinking of turkey for your dinner table, one place a turkey does not belong is on your neck!

If the sight of this turkey neck is horrifying (and conjures thoughts about an aging neck), then Art of Skin MD has got just the procedure to prevent, treatment, and improve that forlorn aging, sagging skin – ULTHERAPY.

This month only, Art of Skin MD is offering a full face and neck Ultherapy for $3500 (a $6000 value) – this is almost 50% off the regular price for this no downtime solution to skin tightening.

Check out my appearance recently on Fox 5 San Diego in the morning highlighting the breakthrough ultrasound technology that powers Ultherapy for nonsurgical skin tightening:

Aging of the neck occurs gradually over time with telltale signs. Photoaging is one of the first hallmarks of neck skin that is prematurely affected by the sun. The skin may become discolored with brown spots, or appear to look like chicken skin. In later stages, the skin can become red. With all of these combined, these sun related changes are often referred to as poikiloderma. A series of IPL (intense pulsed light treatments) can greatly improve skin discoloration on the neck. If precancerous skin lesions are present, IPL can be combined in a procedure called photodynamic therapy (PDT) to remove actinic keratoses. Finally, fractionated carbon dioxide laser skin resurfacing can also be used to resurface skin damaged by ultraviolet light exposure.

Beyond the skin, the neck undergoes other changes with maturity. The muscle of the neck (called the platysma muscle) separates and weakens, causing banding on the skin. Platysmal bands can be softened with Botox or Dysport injections that release and relax the bands of the neck.

The soft tissues of the neck start to sag over time and the skin becomes loose. To tighten this neck skin, several treatments may be used depending on the patient and individual factors. Ultherapy is an ultrasound-based technology that with little to no downtime tightens the skin of the neck and lower face over a period of weeks to months. Ultherapy heats deep layers of the tissue, causing new collagen growth, and uplifting movement of droopy skin on the neck.

INFINI can also be used to treat skin laxity of the neck. This technology uses microneedling radiofrequency technology to produce three dimensional collagen volumization that results in skin tightening and skin texture improvement.
