Chest Rejuvenation: CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing Before & After Photos

CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing for Treatment of Aging Skin on the Décolleté

ECO2
ECO2 2

Fractionated laser skin resurfacing using CO2 lasers such as the Lutronic ECO2 device is considered today’s gold standard of skin rejuvenation for heavily sun damaged or wrinkled skin.   Although most frequently used on the face, laser skin resurfacing can be used with more conservative treatment parameters to address photodamage, sun spots, skin textural changes, and wrinkles on the chest.  It is important to seek a laser expert in treating non-facial skin such as the decollete with laser skin resurfacing to ensure proper safety and appropriate treatment.

The V-neck area of the female chest often experiences unprotected UV and sun exposure causing characteristic aging changes to the skin resulting from collagen damage and problems with pigment production.  Dr. Palm often uses CO2 laser skin resurfacing in combination with an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light procedure) to provide superior results.

In patients with heavy sun damage and precancerous spots called actinic keratoses (AKs), laser skin resurfacing can be combined with photodynamic therapy (PDT or blue light therapy) during a single treatment session to improve precancerous spots, improve pigmentation, stimulate new collagen growth, improve wrinkles, and address skin textural changes to the decollete region.
