AccuSculpt™ Laser Liposuction

Accusculpt™ by Lutronic is a 1444 nm diode laser FDA-approved for laser-assisted liposuction. The Accusculpt™ is the newest laser device approved for treatment of excess fat deposits.  It targets fat, decreasing collateral damage to surrounding tissues. This technique is indicated for areas of small fat deposits.  
Accusculpt™ is a minimally invasive technique that liquefies treated fat, making it easier to remove. The heat generated from the laser also warms collagen deep within the skin—this may allow tissue tightening in areas of lax skin such as the neck, abdomen, or arms.   read more
Other lasers have also been used to treat small areas of fat deposits.  These include the 1320 nm CoolLipo device and the 1064 nm SmartLipo device.  In a recent study published in the Laser Medicine literature, a comparison of all three laser wavelengths found that the 1444 nm wavelength used by Accusculpt™ creates more significant fat destruction with the least amount of heat production to nearby tissues.  These findings suggest that the 1444 nm Accusculpt could provide more targeted therapy to fat while protecting nearby tissues and structures such as blood vessels or nerves. VASER® Lipo and LipoSelection

VASER® Lipo is a means of body contouring that uses sound energy to liquefy and eliminate unwanted areas of fat. Also known as LipoSelection, VASER® Lipo uses ultrasonic waves to break up fatty deposits. VASER® Lipo targets fat yet leaves other crucial structures such as blood vessels and nerves are left undisturbed.   The selective treatment of fat with VASER® Lipo may reduce the degree of discomfort and bruising following liposuction. LipoSelection may be used to successfully touch-up areas of previous liposuction. VASER® Lipo is useful in highly “fibrotic” areas such as the flanks, back, and male breast.   VASER® Lipo is performed under local anesthetic using the tumescent technique. The procedure can be performed comfortably with no need for IV sedation or general anesthesia.

Tickle Lipo

Tickle Lipo describes the use of rotational and vibrational energy during the numbing and fat removal process during liposculpture. Tickle Lipo, also known as “Nutational Infrasonic Liposculpture,” causes nerve fibers that sense pain to feel the vibration of the liposuction cannula instead. This increases patient comfort during the procedure.   Tickle Lipo is FDA-approved for fat removal. Its safety features include an automatic shut off mechanism if the cannula is guided outside of the fat compartment.   Recovery following Tickle Lipo is similar to that of traditional tumescent liposuction. No IV sedation or general anesthesia is required, and patients are encouraged to return to normal activities within a few days.
